Mangalore: Karkala MLA Gopal Bhandary (Congress) released a CD (audio) from the forthcoming film ‘Dever’ eagerly awaited in Tulunadu, at a function in Town Hall this evening.

Actor – Director – Playwright K.N. Tailor speaking on the occasion, asked Tulu people to support his venture and encourage Tulu films which are now standing in a queue. Tulu movies face stiff competition from other language films, he added. ACP B.J. Bhandary, as chief guest, said that he was confident that Tulu films will be as popular as Tulu plays, if they are made in large numbers every year to reach Tulu people.

Kadri Navneeth Shetty, writer, conducted the proceedings. Producer Vachan Shetty, Singer Namitha Shetty, journalist Manohar Prasad, Banker Shivanand Karkera, celebrity M.K. Sitaram Kulal, and writer Karkala Shekhar Bhandary were present as guests in the local crowded event.
