Mangalore : Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel ordered for suspension of a Panchayath Development Officer of Neermarga Grama Panchayath for alleged mismanagement of funds.
He was speaking at the ZP review meeting held at ZP Auditorium on Nov 20, Tuesday. He was speaking followed by a complaint revised by Rajeeva Shetty on drawing of cash using self cheques and payments and cash to a person using 11 cheques in a day, MP ordered the ZP officials to conduct inquiry on alleged irregularities.
After the suspension of the PD, he said the officials to proceed with the action as soon as possible.
Rajeev Shetty said that PDO being corrupt supposing many corrupt practices at the Neermarga Grama Panchayath.
National Highway department official said that the Charmadi Ghat and Shiradi Ghat of National Highway, he said that the emulsion patch work has been done to the patholes appeared during the last rainy season, and made the road possible for smooth running of vehicle.
He also said that the squad team comprising 10 members team has been setup to flow the rain water into drainage and reduce the patholes on roads. The department has also directed to to close the patholes using wet mix if there is heavy rain.
ZP CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash said that during the first week of December, the PDO’s conference will be held, which will include half day workshop, he said.
Speaking on the Vitla Road, MP said that there is Brahmakalashotsava of Vittla temple hence the road work must finish as soon as possible. In return PWD officials said that the patch work will be completed by the end of December.
MP also said that during the congress government the contractors were not getting the payment for their work, but from four years the contractors bills are not kept pending in this package.
During the meeting it was discussed that 125 school suffering from water problem is kept pending, they also said that out of 75 lakes, 31 lakes cleaning have been completed and the bill of RTs 4 crore is pending.
