Mangalore : A protest was staged by the Udupi district unit of the campus Front of India in front of the Clock Tower in Mangalore on November 21, Wednesday urging the Indian government to mount pressure on Israel to stop attack on civilians at Gaza. The agitators also burnt the flag of Israel as a mark of protest.
Addressing the agitators, G Rajashekhar, noted social activist said Palestinians have been facing relentless persecution at the hands of Israeli forces since long.
CFI district treasurer Munawwar Udupi said that the people of Palestine were forced to struggle to regain their lost geopolitical identity against the merciless Zionist regime which is duly patronized by the US and its allies.
Among others present were Farhan Honnala, Udupi District President, Shafiq Udupi, Ashiq Mulur and others.
A memorandum was submitted to the prime minister and other authorities through the Deputy commissioner.
