Mangalore : A two-day National Neurophysiotherapy Colloquium “Neuraxis-2012 organized by the Department of Physiotherapy of Fr Muller Medical College, was inaugurated on November 23, Thursday by Dr K Mohandas, Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Health Sciences.
In his address, Dr Mohandas said the primary focus should be on a patient in the medical field. Stating that the medical field in India is not without problems, he said there is a need to further progress in every field. He also exhorted physiotherapists to concentrate on prevention medicine.
Dean of FMMC Dr J P Alva, Director FMCI Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Organizing Secretary Roshan Rebello also spoke. Gopinath, a former lecturer in Canara PU College, who has faced life with grit and determination despite an accident that left him crippled beneath waist, spoke on his life experiences and served as an inspiration to the gathering.
