Mangalore : In a brutal murder reported from Mulki police station limits, a person was murdered by his brother-in-law near Haleyangady light house.

The deceased  has been identified as Nagesh (46),  mason. He was brutally murdered by  one Ajith (25), the brother of his wife. It is learnt Nagesh had some discord with his wife and used to sleep in the Omkareshwara Bhajana Mandir, It is this discord that had been testing the patience of Ajith,   the brother of Nagesh’s wife.

On Sunday night, it is learnt Nagesh had been to  his wife’s  house when a quarrel ensued between him and Ajith and the latter in a fit of anger attacked Nagesh with a cricket bat and other weapons, killing the latter on the spot.

Though he fled the scene of the crime, the accused it is said was arrested on November 26, Monday.

Mulki police are conducting the investigations.
