Mangalore : The District Congress Office in Mangalore, saw rigorous political activities on November 29, Thursday when the AICC Observor and former MLA from Kerala Muralidharan arrived in the office to elicit opinion of party leaders and members.

Loyalists of former union minister B Janardhan Poojari and former MP Vinaykumar Sorake  were present at the office and aired their views before the  AICC observer who was in the office from 11 am to 3 pm.

District Congress  President B Ramanatha Rai, MLAs UT Khader, Vasanth Bangera, KPCC Secretary Ivan D’Souza, several former MLAs and presidents of various units of the party interacted with the AICC Observor.

There are reports that most of the leaders had favoured the candidature of Janardhan Poojari. Over 300 Congress workers  from various blocks presented their views in the prescribed forms and submitted the same to the AICC Observor.
