Mangalore : The proposal by Jet Airways to run a direct flight between Mangalore and Dubai has been approved by the civil aviation department, reports say. With this,  Jet Airways will be the first private airliner to run international flights from Mangalore.

An official announcement is likely to be made very season. It is learnt,  Rajesh Sequeira, key coordinator of the Karnataka NRI forum had made great efforts in this regard by interacting with Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde.
