Mangalore : Former Deputy Commissioner Dr N.S.Channappa Gowda handed over charge to the new DC N Prakash at his office on December 3, Monday.

N Prakash, the former Director of KSRTC (Personnel and Environment), Bangalore has taken charge in the presence of Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner Harish Kumar, Zilla Panchayath CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash and Assistant DC Dayanand.

Receiving the charge as new DC, N Prakash, who hails from Nanjangud of Mysore said that he has joined government duty from 1978 and was posted in different field , but he has posted as the DC for the first time.

DC said that he would give more importance to the government programme and will take quick action on plastic ban.
