Mangalore : Speaking at the press meet held at District congress Office on Dec 7, Tuesday Bantwal MLA and Congress district president B Ramanath Rai expressed his hopes to gain victory of the party in the upcoming election.

He said that the BJP government has created confusion in the mind of the people about its existence in the state.

The BJP government is in the critical stage, where it has split into BJP and Yeddyurappa’s KJP party.

He also said that the BJP has created good environment for the congress to gain victory in the coming election. Further to strengthen the image of the party, Congress will hold convention at every Block unit.

Speaking about the candidates, he said that congress will release the final lists of candidates very soon.  The aspiring candidates of the party will be given opportunity to contest in the election, he said.

Internal clashes are present in every party since during the time of Indira Gandhi too, but indiscipline has made house in the BJP party itself, he added.

Congress leaders Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, Kodijal Ibrahim, Mamath Gatty, Ashraf, Moideen Bawa and others were present.
