Mangalore: Karnataka Vidhana Sabha-60, an exhibition or rare photographs of the state legislative assembly, organised on the occasion of the assembly completing 60 years, was inaugurated at the Ravindra Kala Bhavan of Mangalore University College on December 7, Friday by Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer N Vijayaprakash.
The exhibition features over 250 photographs of the state governors, chief ministers, assembly speakers as well as photos of some landmark achievements or moments of the Vidhana Sabha.
Some of the photos displayed at the exhibition are the visit of Dr BR Ambedkar to the assembly, then governor Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar administering oath to then chief minister Kengal Hanumanthaiah and even the present chief minister Jagadish Shettar taking oath.
MCC Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar and others were present.
