Mangalore : As a part of 150th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Vivekananda Celebration Committee organized a state level seminar at St Aloysius College Auditorium on December 8, Saturday.
Delivering the key note address, noted thinker JH Narayana Swamy said that Vivekananda was the first religious leader in the country, who openly declare that the real cause of country’s downfall.
He also said that Vivekananda aimed to provide food and basic necessities to large number of starving people in the country, but the activists from Sangh Parivar are unnecessarily using his name and image for its communal agenda.
Senior journalist Dinesh Amin Mattu said that Swami Vivekananda was opposing the priests controlling the society and using thier power.
The Jeevanraj Kuttar, General Secretary of the Vivekananda Celebration Committee welcomed the gathering. Prof Dr Rajendra Udupa from NITK Suratkal proposed vote of thanks..
