Mangalore : On December 8, Saturday, Mangalore was shocked as news trickled in saying the Indian origin nurse Jacintha Saldanha  who was found dead, days after she  attended a prank call enquiring about the condition of Kate, wife of Prince Williams,  hailed from Mangalore

Reports mentioned that Jacintha who did her nursing at Fr Muller School of Nursing, was given in marriage to Benedict hailing from Shirva. The couple has two children Junal (16) and Lisha (17) It is learnt, Jacintha’s husband has not yet contacted his family back in Shirva and almost everyone is grief stricken on coming to know of the news through the media. Carmine  Barboza, mother-in-law of Jacintha says she is still unaware as to what happened.

Reports say after her course at Fr Muller’s Jacintha did an advanced course in nursing and then moved on to Muscat and from there to UK where she  worked at the King Edward VII Hospital, London.
