Mangalore : The Karnataka Komu Sauhardha Vedike on the occasion of its decennial celebration will hold Unity Convention at Loyala Hall on Dec 29, Saturday at 9.30 am.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands, Dec 18, Tuesday, KKSV state general secretary K L Ashok, said Indian civil rights activist and journalist Teesta Setalvad and civil rights activist Dr Anand Teltumbde will participate as the chief guest at the convention.
He also said that convention will commenced with the massive prcession accompanied with various folk dance artistes.
A famous team ‘Makkal Mandram’ from Tamil Nadu will present a Tamate dance, ‘Sangathi’ team from Ankola and district ‘Dalit Kalamandali’ team from Chikkaballapur will present various cultural programme.
The convention will also include inaugural ceremony, book release and seminar titles ‘Movement of Suahardha Vedike and confronting challenges’ and valedictory ceremony.
KKSV activists Vasudev Bollor, Victor D’Silva, Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, Ali Hasan and Mohammed Kakkinje were present at the press meet.
