Mangalore: Dr Alex Hankey, Professor of Yoga and Physical Science in Bangalore, inaugurated a national conference on ‘Science and Spirituality’ held at Eric Mathias Hall of St Aloysius College on December 18, Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said science and spirituality were his favourite subjects  and added there were several issues of conflict between the two subjects. He further said scientists have the assumption that they have ultimate knowledge on how the world works.

Fr Swebert D’Silva, Principal of St Aloysius College, who presided over the function, said the topic of the seminar was highly relevant considering the growing levels of intolerance in the society.

Dr Willy R D’Souza, Dr Shanthala Priyadarshini, S Abdul Rahiman, Dr Job Kozhanthadam and others spoke on the occasion.
