Mangalore : A demonstration was staged by the VHP and Bhajrangdal in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangalore on January 7 Monday to  oppose the inflammatory and derogatory speech of Andhra legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi at Hyderabad recently.

The two organizations demanded an unconditional apology from the legislator and also asked him to quit his legislatorship. It also demanded the government to initiate strict action against him.

The agitators even burnt an effigy of Owaisi and vented out their anger. Several activists including VHP leader Gopal Kuttar and Bhajrangdal leader Bhujanga Kulal participated in the protest.
