Mangalore : Five mobile phones, two charges and some cash was seized from the Mangalore sub-jail which was raided by a police team lead by ACP Kavitha on January 15, Tuesday.

This is the sixth raid on the jail ever since ACP Kavitha took charge. It is said the under trials who were in possession of the mobile phones threw them on gathering hint of the raid. Police sources meanwhile, said the persons who owned the phone can be ascertained by going through the call details.

The raid followed information that drugs have made inroads into the prison. However, no drugs were found.
