Mangalore : Jamiyyatul Falah will be celebrating its silver jubilee on January 27. Y Abdulla Kunhi, Chancellor, Yenepoya University, Mangalore, will inaugurate the celebrations.
Addressing a press meet on January 22, Khaleel Ahmed, President, Jamiyyatul Falah, DK and Udupi, said that the organization, which was formed in 1988, has carried out various social service activities over the years. Some of the projects taken up include construction of a boys hostel in Mangalore, Kannada school at Adkare Padpu near Konaje, free medical aid and ambulance services for poor patients in rural areas of two taluks in Udupi. The organization has been arranging for dialysis treatment at concessional rates in hospitals of Mangalore and Udupi for poor patients.
Various chief guests including U T Khader, MLA, Dr. Mohan Alva, Chairman, Alva’s Educational Institutions, Moodbidri, Nisar Ahmed, Chairman, Presidency Group of Institutions, Abdussalam Puthige, Chief Editor, Vartha Bharathi Kannada daily, Sheik Lathif, Chief Accounts Officer, DK Zilla Panchayat are among the dignitaries expected to participate in the programme.
Saduddin M Salih, President, Jamiyattul Falah Silver Jubilee Reception Committee, Shahul Hameed, General Secretary and others were present.
