Mangalore : B Janardhan Poojary, former Union Minister said that the district congress will hold a 4 days massive padayatra covering twin districts from Thokkottu to Udupi on Jan 29, Tuesday explaining BJP government’s failure.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 25, Friday he said that the national leaders of congress will participate in the padayatra and urged other leaders and supporters to participate in it. The yatra will also explain the Central Government’s developmental programmes.
Commenting on the legislative assembly Speaker KG Bopaiah’s absence in the assembly, said that speaker is been missing from Jan 22 and still the higher authority and state government is not aware about his tour. This is a history in the state.
Looking at the responsibility and behaviour of the speaker, it is clear that he is not fit for the post. Earlier Supreme Court itself has criticized the behavior of speaker, but still he has not improved.
He said that he is curious of his missing matter and want to know whether he has received any life threat or fallen ill. Hence any person who will give the details about the speaker in 4 hours will be rewarded with Rs 5,000 after begging from public in Hampankatta area.
Commenting on the Union Home Minister Susheel Kumar Shinde’s statement the BJP all over the state staged a protest and gained a lot of free publicity. This protest has helped many people to know the fact of terrorism and the link of RSS. If they do not agree the statement given by Shinde, then why they played a role to support the Hindu terrorist of Malegaon blast and why did not they condemn he provocative speech of Pramod Muthalik which prevails tension in the society, he asked.
Congress leaders Arun Coehlo, Kallige Tharnath Shetty, former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty and Harikrishna Bantwal were present at the press meet.
