Bangalore: A 2010-11 budget placed before BBMP members on Monday, today afternoon, (Aug. 30) look care of traffic problems, management of elections waste, stress on fundamental necessities with Rs.8,000 crores in harness for a 75 lakh population spread over 50kms.
This is the first budget presented to cooperators after BJP took charge of city’s Mega Corporation. P.N. Sadashiva, Taxes and Economy standing Committee chief P.N. Sadashiva (Finance Cooperator) laid the budget papers on the table of the house.
There are 10.14 lakh properties in Bengaluru under self declared Tax provisions, which yielded Rs.795 crores as property tax. Kannada will be given prominence in advertising all over the city. Heavy vehicles will be taxed separately. Tree part construction in city is provided with Rs.49 crores. There are other small provisions too.
