Mangalore : The Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka of Lord Sri Veera Venkatesha will be held at Sri Venkataraman Temple from Jan 30 to Feb 3.

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 28, Monday, Managing trustee of temple C Lakshman Shenoy said that all the religious rituals performed in the temple will be performed under the presence and guidance of Sri Sudhindra Teertha Swamiji, Matadish of Kashi Math Samsthan and his disciple and junior pontiff Sri Samyameendra Theertha Swamiji.

He also said that in connection with the Kumbhabhisheka, Various programmes will be held at the shrine beginning from January 30. He also said that rituals such as Prayaschitta Havana, Adya Gana Yaga, Ugrana Muhurtha, Maha Pooja, Gurubhikshe, Go Pooja, Brahmana Suvasini  Aradhane will be held the subsequent days.

Sahasra Kumbhabhisheka ritual will begin in the hands of the senior pontiff of Kashi Mutt at 9.30 am On February 3 at 9.30 am followed by Pradhana Kalashabhisheka at 12 noon.

A devotional music concert ‘Triveni Sangam’ by renowned singers Pandit Upendra Bhat, Puttur Narasimha Nayak and Shanker Shanbagh, will be presented on February 1 and devotional music by singer Anuradha Podwal will be on February 2.
