Ujire :  The Sudeep-11  bagged the HCL Trophy by defeating Bangalore Press Club by 11 runs in the  friendly  match held at the Ratnavarma  Heggade Stadium at Ujire on January 27, Sunday. The explosive batting by opener Rajeev who scored 191 runs helped Sudeep -11 win the match.

The match was earlier inaugurated by Dr M Mohan Alva of Alva’s Education Foundation. D Harshendra Kumar, Secretary of SDM Educational Institution, was the chief guest.

The Sudeep 11 which elected to bat after winning the toss, though lost opener Sudeep, finally amassed 191 runs for the loss of 7 wickets , thanks to good batting by Rajeeva and Tarunchandra who scored 85 runs in 42 balls.

The Bangalore Press Club  gave a dismal performance and lost all its wickets at the score of 108 runs.

  Rockline Venkatesh, film producer and actor and Chief Secretary of Karnataka Artistes Association and Dr B Yashovarma, Principal of SDM College, gave away the prize to the winners.

Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala, Mallappa, Secretary of Bangalore Press Club and others were present. Thousands of people witnessed the match. The Trophy was sponsored by SDM College.
