Abudhabi: Alva’s Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat was witnessed by thousands of enthusiasts at the Indian School Auditorium here on February 1 under the aegis of Karnataka Sangha. M K Lokesh, Indian ambassador to the UAE inaugurated the programme  along with Dr B R Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of NMC and UAE Exchange,  Dr Mohan Alva and other dignitaries.

In all 80 Student artistes from Alva’s institutions presented an attractive cultural performance that left the audience spell bound.

In his address,  BR Shetty was highly appreciative of Dr Mohan Alva of Alva’s Education Foundation for his stupendous efforts in organizing the cultural programme.

Dr Mohan Alva also spoke. He presented mementoes to sponsors. Talented artist Vilas Nayak drew portraits of BR Shetty and  Sachin Tendulkar which were later auctioned.

Sarvottama Shetty of Karnataka Sangha, compered the programme.
