Brahmavar : Udupi –Chikmagalur MP Jayaprakash Hegde has strongly criticized the BJP government by stating that the government which spends crores of rupees towards temples and mutts, had no funds to revive the Brahmavar Sugar Factory.

He was speaking at a party workers convention held at Cherkady Yuvaka Mandala premises at Petri on February 17, Sunday.

Pramod Madhwaraj, Udupi Block Congress President, who spoke, said the Cognress if voted to power would revive the  Brahmavar sugar factory and develop Udupi constituency as a model constituency in the nation.

H Gopal Bhandari, Karkala MLA, Rajesh Shetty Birthi, Brahmavar Block Congress President and several party leaders namely B Bhujanga Shetty, Veronica Carnelio, Venkatesh Suvarna were present.
