Mangalore : The BJP in Mangalore is gearing up for the local administrative body elections. A preparatory meeting was held at the party’s district office on February 18, Monday to discuss the arrangements to be made.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Nalin Kumar Kateels aid the BJP has initiated several welfare schemes in Mangalore and had released lakhs of rupees as grant for developmental works.
He also highlighted the various welfare initiatives scheme of the state government. HE exhorted party men to work ceaselessly for the victory of the party candidates.
Pratapsinh Nayak, district leader of the party urged the party workers to ensure victory of the party in all local administrative body elections.
K Padmanabha Kottari, District BJP President, presided over the meeting. Yogish Bhat, MLA and Deputy Speaker, Angara, MLA,. K Monappa Bhandri,Capt Ganesh Karnik, MLCs, also gave useful suggestions.
Several party leaders including K Jayaram Shetty, Sushma Janardhan, Umanath Kotian, Kushalappa Gowda, Jagadish Adhikari were present.
