Mangalore : A Konkani Religious play ‘Sipoy Saant’  directed by Adolphus Cutinha (Dolla) is all set to be staged at the St Agnes open grounds on March 24 at 6 pm. The muhurat of the play was held at the Parish Hall of St Sebastian Church, Bendur on February 20,Wednesday.

Rohan Monteiro, Chairman of Rohan Corporation and Fr Antony Serrao, Parish Priest of St  Sebastian Church, Bendur, inaugurated the play. Claude D’Souza, the author of  Sipoy Saant handed over the script to Adolphus Cutinha, the Director.

In his address, Adolphus said the play was presented in three stages nearly 25 years ago. Now it will be presented in seven stages while 50 artistes will be part of the play. He also urged artistes and organisers to co-operate in the success of the play.

Rohan Monteiro who also spoke assured all co-operation on his side for the staging of the play. Vice-president of  Parish Pastoral Council Ronald Valder, Leslie Rego and others were present.
