Mangalore : The All India general strike call given by trade unions which evoked a good  response in Mangalore on the first day on February 20, Wednesday, failed to evoke any response on the second day on Thursday.
Life returned to normalcy in the city on Thursday with buses running as usually. Even shops and business establishments as well as schools are functioning normally.

 However, a few trade unions organised a protest in front of the DC office in Mangalore condemning the anti-people policies of the government.
