Mangalore : A total of 32 candidates have  filed their nominations for the local  body elections on February 21, Thursday. As many as 21 nominations have been filed for Puttur TMC elections.

Of the total nominations, 21 are from Congress candidates, three from BJP, four from JD(S). Three independent candidates have also filed nominations.

One BJP candidate filed nomination in  Moodbidri while another independent candidate too has filed nominations. Four persons have filed nominations in Bantwal and Sullia. Of the four, two are from BJP and the other two from Communist Party of India. Four Independent candidates have filed nominations in Sullia.
