Mangalore : Vaishnavi Friends, Maruthi Hi-Tech Gym in association with Dakshina Kannada Body Builders Association  organised a Dakshina Kannada Body Building Championship for Mr Dakshina Kannada -2013 title at Town Hall in Mangalore on February 27, Wednesday. The event was conducted in seniors, masters and physically challenged category.

Pushparaj Hegde, General Manager of Uppala Branch of Syndicate Bank and  gold medalist in  Commonwealth Sports Meet, inaugurated the event. In his address, he stressed the need for a regular exercise regime to stay physically fit. He also stated that gymnasiums go a long way in encouraging youngsters in body building events but also maintaining a good and healthy physique.

Ravindranath Rai, advocate, Deepak Kotian, owner of Nice Caterers,Harish Jain, Owner of Mico Electricals, Mangalore and Manoj Kumar of Phalguni Textiles were the chief guests.

Ravindra Nikham. Owner of Mahalakshmi Jewellers, Vittal Kudva, advocate, Naseer of BR Fruits and Satyavan Babar of Pooja Gold Testing, gave away prizes to winners.
