Mangalore : The district unit of Janata Dal (Secular) formally announced the formation of HDK Yuvasene in district in order to unite the youth of the district and inculcate the leadership qualities in them, said Dakshina Kannada JD(S) core committee president A Sadananda Shetty.

Speaking at the press meet held on Mar 5, Tuesday, he said that Pradeep Prabhakar from Puttur had been appointed as the district president of the newly-formed wing of JD(S) as per the recommendation of JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy.

Newly appointed president of HDK Yuvasene said that the main aim of the Yuvasene is to fight against forces which create communal clashes in society and disturb the peace in the name of religion. Yuvasene will work against communal forces at all levels and students will also be taken in the youth wing.

In order prevent students and youth from getting involved in anti-communal activities, the yuvasene will be formed in college levels too.

At present BJP and Congress have been pulling the youth force to bring communal disturbance in the society, hence  HDK Yuvasene had been formed to remove it from grass root, he added.

JD(S) district general secretary Vasanth Poojary and other JD(S) leaders such as Gopalkrishna Attavar, Shrinath Rai, Sandeep Salian were present among others.
