Bangalore: Piqued by a BJP delegation that went to New Delhi and met top leaders ruling there, to impress upon them to accept the Cow Protection Bill to become an Act, by passing the Governor’s formal consent, the state governor, H.R Bhardwaj look the BJP leaders to tasks on Monday, in the absences of CM from Karnataka, saying that he knew about cow protection quite well, as he was born in a Brahmin family.
He reminded his critics that he was the Constitutional head of this state, and knew what suited best for the people. He would explain before the president of India, the events leading and relating to Cow slaughter and the protection Bill soon. He promised to face his critics (in BJP) on a proper platform, should the occasion arise, he declared.
Governor Bhardwaj also referred to jails Minister’s caustic remarks, and told Umesh Katti that no one should pressurize him on the release of 600 prisoners. He said he regretted the Minister Katti’s threats to take the issue to the President of India.
