Udupi : The BJP has lost the Urban local body polls in Udupi as it has forgotten the fact that democracy was sensitive, said Pramod Madhwaraj, Block Congress President.

Speaking to reporters here, he expressed confidence that the Congress would rise to power in the state  with the co-operation of senior leaders Oscar Fernandes and    Jayaprakash Hegde.The unprecedented success of the Congress in the Urban Local Body polls are an indicator of the likely results of the ensuing assembly elections.

He said the Congress administration of the TMC will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling the assurances given in the party manifesto. He also promised that the Congress will provide a pro-people rule in the Udupi CMC and  ensure that corruption was wiped out.
