Mangalore : University of  Bagalkot and Horticulture Research center Ullal, jointly organized  cashew Seed Training camp at Ullal on March 13, 2013.

Mr. H Dhanakeerthi Balipa, President Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, Moodabidri  zone regretted  that Rubber Cultivators are falling prey to the greed and using cashew cultivating  area to Plant Rubber. This is the main reason the Decline in cashew plantation in D.K.

He appealed  to the Government to provide level playing failed to the farmers so that they get Fair price to their products. The lack of cold Storage facilities across state is responsible for 30%  Wastage of agricultural product  the Development of Infrastructure is more important than subsidies he observed.

He further said that  new verities of cashew plants will be introduce in  Ullal.

An exhibition was also held on the occasion in which variety of Cashew seeds, by products of cashew Medicines derived from organic Farming were put on display.
