Udupi:  Udupi District  JD(S) President Deviprasad Shetty said that the JD((S)  was strongly against political parties taking undue advantage of moral policing incidents like the one reported from Kaup recently wherein two boys were beaten up for talking to a girl of another community.

Speaking to reporters at the party office at Kaup  on March 17, Sunday, he accused both the Congress and BJP of resorting to vote bank politics. Moral policing incidents were  reported frequently owing to  the patronage extended by some organizations, he said.

He urged the police department of initiating stern action against  all those involved in such incidents.
