Udupi : Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat laid the foundation for the synthetic track at the Mahatma Gandhi stadium at Ajjarkad  on March 19, Tuesday.

In his address,  he said the 400 meter track would be laid at a cost of Rs 3.64 lakhs  and would be completed within four months.

He also promised that the works would be done under strict supervision.

Several dignitaries including Dr MT Reju, Deputy Commissioner of Udupi, Appachu, Joint Director of the Youth and Sports Authority, Upendra Nayak, Udupi ZP Chief, Gokuldas Nayak, Udupi CMC Commissioner were present.
