Udupi : All tahsildars have been directed by the Udupi Deputy Commissioner to take steps to remove all flex boards and hoardings put up by the government departments or political parties highlighting the achievements of the government.
The DC said the directive has been issued in view of the poll code of conduct implemented in view of the ensuing assembly election. The CMC Commissioner of Udupi has also directed removal of all hoardings and banners in Udupi and all should be removed.
The DC has further said that the permission of the administration is a must before putting up banners or hoardings regarding religious programmes. Tahsildars have also been asked to open control rooms in taluk offices to assist voters.
