Information Officer Rohini Speaking About Awards

Published journalistic articles / stories / reports, published between 15-07-2009 and 15-07-2010 in dailies or periodical Magazines have been  invited from working journalists on the topic of “Women and Panchayat Raj” for the Sarojini Naidu Award-2010, conferred by a world body called Hunger project. This NGO works on international levels for stabilizing and empowering women in several directions. It aims at telling the story of capable elected GP women working in rural areas for the welfare of backward Classes.

The Award is divided in to 3 categories of Hindi, English and any other regional (state) languages, and has Rs. 2 lakhs each with a certificate and memento for the 3 winners. Those journalists who regularly write for print media may join in the contest, said Reshma, connected with the Hunger project on Saturday.

Ronald Anil Fernandes, a 2009 winner for English article, news executive Rohini and Journalist Sheena Shetty were present in the press meet.
