Mangalore : A pedestrian was killed on the spot and another woman was left critically injured when they were run over by a Maruti Omni van  near the Sacred Heart School, Kulshekhar on March 27, Wednesday morning.

It is learnt, the driver suddenly lost control over the vehicle which knocked down the two pedestrians. The deceased is Albert Fransisco (60) from Kulshekhar. The injured woman has been hospitalized in a critical state. Her identity is not known.

Kankanady rural police have registered a case.
