Bantwal :  Thieves who broke into the  Sri Mookambika Kripa Srirama Bhajana Mandir at Brahmarakootlu in Kallige village on the night of April 2, have decamped with the silver Prabhavali of the Lord worth over Rs one lakh.

The theft came to light when the Bhajana Mandir President opened the dior on Wednesday morning. A dog squad and finger print experts have been pressed into service. Based on the clue given by the sniffer dog which went upto a shoe kept outside a house in the area, police have arrested one Shiva of Tamil Nadu origin.

It is learnt, thieves  have also stolen the donation box and entered the sanctum sanctorum by breaking the locks.
