Bhatkal : A woman and her child  were killed  when their two-wheeler was hit by a tanker near Ganijigeri near Manki on NH 66 near Bhatkal on April 4, Thursday.

Those killdeer are  Parvathi Gowda (29) and Nikita(2). Parvati’s husband survived with minor injuries. It is said the tanker rammed into the bike, in the driver’s bid to overtake a lorry. The three were on way to Honnavar hospital when the mishap took place. Though  Parvathi’s husband sensing danger took the bike to the extreme left, he could not avert a collision that eventually killed his wife and kid.

Honnavar police have registered a case.
