Mangalore : Sri Ramotsava Samiti, in association with Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, Matru Mandali, and Durgavahini will celebrate ‘Sri Ramotsava’ at Nehru Maidan from April 19 to 21.
Speaking at the press meet held at Sharada College Auditorium on April 8, Monday, Pushparaj Jain, president of Ramotsava committee said that on the occasion of 12th year of Ramotsava, ‘Suvarna Arts Mulky’ a well known artistes troupe will set up a replica of Ram Mandir in the Maidan. The Bhoomi Puja for the construction was held on April 8.
He also said that a 25-feet tall Ravana statue will be erected on April 18 and the programme will conclude with the burning of Ravana statue on April 21 at 8 pm.
As a part part of three days programme, the audience will be enthralled with various religious and cultural programmes including Bhajans.
Many religious and social leaders will take part in the stage programme which will be held rior to the stage programme every day.
Manohar Thulaja Ram, Shivanand Mendon, Jitendra Kottari, Krishnamurthy, Jagadish Shenava, Sharan Pumpwell and others were present.
