Udupi : Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily has said that if the Congress came to power it will initiate strict action against all the BJP ministers who were named accused in the illegal mining scam report by former Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde.
Speaking to reporters here on April 17, Wednesday, Moily said a fast track court too would be set up to take action against corrupt leaders in case the Congress comes to power.
On former minister Vasanth Salian joining the Congress, Moily said the party never expected him to do so. Salian has been given a chance to contest seven times, he pointed out and added though Sorake was denied a chance earlier too he had never defected to any other party but had remained sincere Congress man.
Moily said the corruption and irregularities are the main achievements of the BJP government in the state. He also charged the state government of utter failure to use CNG for state road transport corporation buses.
