Mangalore : Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily has said that the corruptions and scandals in which the BJP government was involved, has tainted the image of the state for ever.
Speaking to reporters at the election campaign office of the party here on April 19, Friday, Moily said he felt ashamed to introduce himself as a Karnataka man whenever he travelled abroad or to any other state.
He said the state government had completely failed to solve the power problem of the state and that the state was now facing unprecedented power crisis. The government has also failed to open any new unit, Moily was also critical of the government decision to permit deemed universities. He said some of the institutions are not even running proper colleges.
He said the Congress government if voted to power would take steps to implement the recommendations of the Lokayukta report on illegal mining submitted by former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde.
