Udupi : The Olive Art Gallery by Udupi Foundation was inaugurated at Manipal Sanman Residency premises on April 21, 2013. A one-day exhibition of paintings was also inaugurated  to coincide with the occasion,  Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji of Krishnapur Mut, inaugurated the Art gallery and the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, the seer said there was a greater need to encourage artistes. Art provides peace of mind, he observed. K Thiru, Associate Professor, HOD  Welcomgroup Academy of Culinary Arts Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, Dr Vinod V Thomas, Director, Manipal Institute of Technology, Kevin Morrison D’Mello, CEO of Udupi Foundation and others were present on the occasion.
