Mangalore : AICC chief Sonia Gandhi’s visit to city has been postponed to April 27, Saturday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Congress Election Campaign office, Ourania Building, Kadri on April 22, Monday, Senior Congress Leader B Janardhan Poojary said that the visit has been postponed due to the clash in Parliament by the opposition. Hence her presence in the session is required.
Poojary said that Sonia Gandhi will address the party workers at Nehru Maidan at 1 p.m. The congress leaders have encouraged the party workers in the meeting held at Bantwal, Puttur, Sullia, Panja, Kadaba and Belthangady.
Commenting on opposition leader Sushma Swaraj’s speech of the BJP party being clean like Ganga Jal, Poojary said that by sharing dais with corrupt leaders like Katta Subramanya and Venkaiah Naidu, the speech on anti corruption do not have any morality.
BJP leaders like Katta Subramanya Naidu was imprisoned along with his son in corruption case, but BJP did not take any action them including Nirani, Sommanna and DVS who were not spared from allegations.
Congress leaders like Ibrahim Kodijal, Kallige Tharnath Shetty, Nagendra, Suresh Ballal, Balraj Rai, Ashraf, Naveen D’Souza, Kripa Amar Alva and others were present.
