Mangalore : Apoorva Mali, bagged the second prize and K Lal Memorial Trophy at the International Magic Festival-2013 organized by All Utkal Magicians Club (AUMC), Bhubaneshwar, Orissa on April 16.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on April 23, Tuesday Apoorva’s father magician Rajesh Mali said that seven year old Apoorva had entered into a magical world at the age of 1 year and ten months and is said to be the youngest magicians in the country.
Rajesh said that so far Apoorva has given above 400 shows. At the age of three she had succeeded in presenting the magic done by the senior magicians.
Apoorva has achieved blind riding of electric motar bike in Uppinangady main road for two times at the age of four.
She has been learning the art of ‘Sleight of Hand Act’ from Magician Samarth Shenoy from past two and half years.
Kanchana Sri Laksminarayana Music Academy Trust has honoured Apoorva Mali and her sister Anjana Mali with ‘Indra Vidya Chathure’ title on March 23, 2013, he added.
Magician Rajesh’s wife Magician Shobha Raj, daughters Apoorva Mali, Anjana Mali and magician Samarth Shenoy were present.
