Mangalore : Congress Youth Member and actor Ramya said that Congress party has done many developmental works for the youths in the society.

Speaking at the press meet held at District Congress Office on April 26, Friday, she said that she  know U T Khader ‘uncle’ from long time and has done many good developmental work in his constituency..

Congress party workers must work in dignity. The party has good administrators and it has given more opportunity for the youths and equal priority to women, she said.

Speaking on star campaigners, Ramya said that star campaigners will help to give at least 5 percent of votes to the party. During the campaign many people has assured to vote for congress since they like her and many have also twittered to support congress since they are her fans. Apart from being star I am also a youth member, she added.

Comparing the film industry and politics, she said that both need hard work but in film we carry umbrella to reduce the hot. But one can only get power and responsibility by entering into politics.

Speaking at the party ticket, she said that I dint miss the ticket but I dint apply for it also. My Mom had applied but she dint get it, she added.

KPCC secretary Ivan D’Souza said that Sonia Gandhi will land at Bajpe Airport tomorrow at 12 pm and go to Chickmagalur in helicopter and reach back to Mangalore helipad at 2.30 pm and participate in Nehru Maidan meeting at 3 pm and return back to Bapje at 4 pm.

Congress leaders T Ibrahim, Sadashiv Ullal, Farooq Ullal, Nazeer Bajal and others were present.
