Bantwal : Varun Gandhi, MP and BJP National General Secretary has urged the people of Bantwal to vote the BJP candidate to power.

Addressing an election campaign rally at BC Road on April 26, Friday, Varun Gandhi said  the BJP was strong in coastal Karnataka and added the people of the state must elect the BJP for a strong and developed Karnataka.

He said he knew the Bantwal BJP candidate Rajesh Naik and said he was confident that Rajesh if elected would serve as a sincere elected representative.

Varu n  also stated that the Karnataka assembly elections and its results are keenly awaited all over the nation.

District BJP President Padmanabha Kottari who also spoke said the Congress candidate  Ramanatha Rai was desperate and it was owing to this reason that he as issuing statements that his battle was not against Rajesh Naik but  Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat.

Udupi District Minister Kota Srinivas Poojari, BJP candidate Rajesh Naik, former MLA Rukmaya Poojari, State BJP Vice President Sulochana GK Bhat, Tungappa Bangera, NB Aboobakker, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, former minister Nagaraj Shetty, Dinesh Bhandari   were also present on the occasion.
