Mangalore: Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary has strongly refuted the statement made by BJP leader Sushma Swaraj that there was infighting in the Congress.
Speaking to reporters here, Poojari said it was actually the BJP which was split into three and questioned if Sushma was unaware of it. Launching a tirade against chief minister Jagadish Shettar, Poojari also said Shettar was unable to control his own party men. He said defeat was imminent for the BJP. He said the JD(S) was a totally destroyed party.
He also was critical of a former chief minister who claimed that the Congress manifesto was a copy of the BJP manifesto.
Poojari also urged people to attend the Congress rally in large numbers. Kerala MP Thomas, Ibrahim Kodijal, Suresh Ballal, Harikrishna Bantwal, Ivan D’Souza, Kripa Alva, Praveen Alva and Arun Coelho and other party workers were also present.
