Mangalore : Lambasting BJP for its hap hazard work and Ad-hoc  policies regarding development of Mangalore city, JR Lobo, in his recent meeting with city businesman, Techies, Engineers, accountants and doctors, said that his vision is to make Mangalore second best city in Karnataka.

Criticizing BJP for neglecting Mangalore, he said, about 20 years ago city of Cochin and Mangalore were at par and since then Cochin leap frogged Mangalore in every front. In spite of having International Air- port, all weather port, railways and national highway Mangalore has not got attention it deserved from the state. State government as well as Mangalore City Administration is responsible for the stagnation of development in the district. Even vented dam is not completed. 3D planetarium and Rangamandira is his pet projects.
            
On the law and order  situation of Mangalore, he said that BJP brought bad reputation  to the city by sadistic attack and moral policing. Tourism and investment will flow only if communal harmony exists.
            
Billavas and fishermen need to be given financial  assistance in their profession and even fish markets can be a tourist attraction if it is developed like in Goa.

He thanked intellectuals and techno crats for supporting him in the up coming election.
