Mangalore : The dreaded disease of Filaria engulfed the life of Vasanth, a 22 year old young man from Davanagere who is reduced to begging and seen near State bank bus stop (DC office) Mangalore.

He hails from Devanahalli, Chennagiri Taluk, Davanagere district of Karnataka. He has been inflicted by this horrible disease, five years back. It spread quickly and both the legs grown enormously waist below.

Abandoned by his relatives he left himself to fend and finally landed in Mangalore and begging ever since. He has been treated in few government hospitals and the doctors recommended amputation of both the legs.

It is highly recommended that social work and humanitarian organization take up this case in right earnest and save this man from the street.
